I support your practice by understanding what really happens in all kinds of health care settings and situations. Having worked as a Registered Nurse in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health agencies and hospice, I have witnessed the best and worst care.

My work for many years in Hospice is especially valuable since I cared for patients dying from every imaginable disease, disability and injury. I treated all types of wounds and managed peripheral and central lines, pumps, tubes and devices. I organized and assessed medications. And I worked with families under extreme stress.

I still perform many of these same aspects of care as I support nursing in the home and community setting.

One of my areas of focused expertise is pain assessment and management, often grossly overlooked in hospitals and nursing homes. People need to be compensated for suffering. Plans should be in place for managing long-term painful conditions caused by injury.

I organize and chart medical records chronologically or according to special focus. Since I also have a master's degree in library and information science, I back up facts with authoritative research.
